あんずの里

信州に遅い春が訪れる４月中旬、更埴市の郊外、森・倉科地区は、１５万本といわれるあんずが、いっせいに咲き誇る。その様相は、山あいのこの地が、綿菓子にすっぽり包まれてしまったのではないか、と錯覚するほどである。

An Apricot Town

When spring comes to Koshoku, Nagano Prefecture in mid-April, the flowers of
some 150,000 apricot trees bloom all at once, creating the illusion that the
whole valley is wrapped in cotton candy.

 

モモの花

四月の中旬、モモの花がいっせいに咲き、どこもかしこもピンク色に埋め尽くされてしまう。中でも一宮町から御坂町あたりは、行けども行けどもモモ畑が続き、甘い香りが漂う桃源郷のようだ。

Peach Blossoms

In mid-April, peach blossoms bloom all at once, burying the entire region in
a blanket of pink.  Particularly from the towns of Ichinomiya to Misaka,
peach orchards continue unabated and their sweet fragrance is like a
“togenkyo” (peach blossoming paradise) or Shangri-La.
